Welcome to the final installment in our series of Spring Style Tips! This week we’re talking about one of the most feminine and timeless elements of fashion: lace! A little lace can go a long way in bringing some delicate lightness into your spring outfit after a heavy winter. Here are a few of our favorite ways to incorporate the style into your spring wardrobe.
We all know we can layer our dresses with tights or leggings for some extra warmth while the days remain a little chilly. This is a great way to transition your dresses into fall, but by April we’re ready to ditch the tights, and looking for a new way to transition our dresses into spring! So let’s talk about a few more interesting ways to layer those lace skirts and pretty patterned dresses.
Crazy wind storms followed by beautiful sunny days? It must be spring in the PNW. This weather can be hard to dress for, which is why we’re bringing you a series of Spring Style Tips this month to help you dress for spring while staying warm. So here is installment #2: a Pop of Color!
Spring in the PNW is a mixed bag. The weather oscillates for a few months between rain, cold, sunny days that hint at summer, wind, and more rain. Yet the trees are in full bloom and iris are unfolding everywhere we look. The days are lengthening again, and there’s no doubt that we are slowly creeping out of a dark winter. We’re itching to ditch our bulky sweaters, but it will be a while before we’re ready for those summer dresses. Let’s be real: it can be hard to dress for the spring we are ready for while a chill remains in the air.
I hear the Pacific Northwest is the only place where grey is considered a color. It must have something to do with the tone of our sky most days, especially this time of year. I like my outfit to match both my mood and the season, and grey seems to be the perfect fit. Here’s some of my favorite greyscale inspiration that is anything-but-boring!
What an incredible first week this has been for Fringe! Thank you to everyone who has stopped by to shop and check it all out. I’ve had so much fun getting to know new customers and neighbors, and am already seeing some of you returning for more!
My oh my, this past month as been a whirlwind with hardly a moment to stop, breathe, and take it all in, let alone write about it! But after all the hard work, Fringe Boutique is finally up and running, thanks to the incredible friends and family in my life who helped me pull this thing off!
