Summer feels like it has set in, bringing longer days, more energy, and excitement. In Bellingham, summer brings everyone outside, whether it’s to the water, the mountains, or downtown for some urban adventuring in the sunshine.
Last weekend I set up a booth at the first Make.Shift vintage rummage sale, and had a blast selling jewelry, Mexican blankets, and a ton of fun pieces of clothing off my $3 rack. I’m excited for more street vending to come throughout the summer, at more Make.Shift markets, with my girl Olivia at her Sassy Babes bus, and hopefully on Wednesday evenings when Bellingham closes down Bay Street for the Downtown Sounds summer concert series!
I’ve also set the goal to officially open up my dream boutique at the end of the summer. Brick and mortar, open to the public, 7 days a week, official! I’m really excited to have this goal and framework to push me forward. These last few weeks, my schedule has been packed full of meetings with the Small Business Development Center, SCORE, and handfuls of mentors and industry friends. I feel so grateful for all of the amazing, supportive people I have in my life! I am growing my business in a huge way as a “solopreneur,” but I am in no way in this alone.
